“There are lots of reasons why people don't participate in meetings, and part of the reason is that they're badly run. But I discovered a set of methods that are about participatory leadership, about how to run a meeting in a way that turns your culture into a culture in which every voice is heard and informed opinions matter.”

But what exactly is that “set of methods”??? Obvious follow up question that the interviewer missed. Otherwise, good piece.

Another interview full of abbreviations. Most of them are never explained. It already starts in the title. DMV, AJC, etc. Please dare to explain them upfront!

Michael, our primary audience is Americans, and although we introduce most abbreviations (like AJC), we assume a basic level of familiarity with American institutions.

DMV isn't, IDEO isn't, ROI isn't. The last one isn't actually "American", it's "Business", and I doubt every US citizen knows what that means. Please just be consistent and spell out all abbreviations the first time you use them.

Look, I like your interviews and I learn a lot from them. That's why I read them. I would just like to be able to read them without googling on the side.

As for the assumption on necessary knowledge: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJC doesn't even mention "American Job Center". My two US colleagues didn't know them either

American Job Centers are described in the opening paragraph, and then again in my question asking how American Job Centers relate to the jobs programs the interviewee is talking about. The interviewee explains that they are government-run job centers. Then we introduce the acronym, AJC.

IDEO is not an acronym. It is the name of a design agency, and that agency is linked where IDEO is mentioned.
